Vision Screening
Visual acuity tests are the most common tests used to evaluate eyesight. Charts are used to measure the eye's ability to focus on details near and far. The tests usually involve reading letters or looking at symbols of different sizes on an eye chart. Usually, each eye is tested individually and then both eyes are tested together with and without corrective lenses. Parkview Occupational Health uses Snellen eye charts to perform this task. Visual acuity testing is required for some job functions such as DOT certifications.
