Parkview Acculab
Signature Care employers can add Acculab, our outpatient laboratory testing program, at no charge. Acculab was designed to allow employers and their employees significant savings when they use Parkview Acculab providers.
How does Parkview Acculab work?
When a physician orders lab test for the employee or their covered dependents, they can experience the Parkview Acculab benefit in one of two ways.
First, the physician may collect the blood or other sample and send it to a participating Acculab provider.
Or the employee or covered dependents may visit one of the convenient outpatient locations of an Acculab provider. A staff member will collect the blood or other sample.
Whichever method chosen, Parkview Acculab personnel will complete the testing as ordered. It’s that simple. The results will then be shared with the ordering physician.
How quickly will results be available?
Results from most lab tests will be available to the ordering physician within 24 hours of testing. STAT processing is also available when requested by the physician.
What kind of tests cannot be performed by a Parkview Acculab provider?
Pre-admission testing, which is often required before surgery, and certain specialized lab tests can only be performed by providers who do not participate in the Parkview Acculab program. Regular benefits will apply to these services.
